Fibonacci flu

A BBC reporter on the Today programme told us that Britain this morning has 13 confirmed cases of the new flu, compared with 8 this time yesterday

So we can expect there to be 377 this time next week?

And if so, does the Fibonacci process apply to the spread of the disease, or the confirming of the diagnosis?

Or a combination of the two

Or neither
