A clear & present danger

Corners on stairs are obviously a danger to the older ones among us

There was my accident with my back

And now I read of a man who managed to fracture his thigh (albeit soon after a hip repair) just by turning a corner on the stairs

Must be something to do with the way you put your feet down, as my neighbour said

There must be some kind of trick we could learn to stop us doing this. Either from the Alexander Technique or something that every physio knows

They could do us a service by publicising this so we can all practise, get to the stage where we do it automatically, without thinking, to keep ourselves in good nick
